YOU should make a Substack Live. Yes, YOU.
I’ll make it easy, fast, short, and fun to get started.
Lots of people say nowadays you should make Lives on Substack. You can look up all the research that supports this, but common sense alone tells you why. Whatever your goal is, whether to grow as a creator, learn from others, build a paid newsletter, enhance your coaching practice, sell digital products, or whatever, you need people to trust, like, and respect you.
And nothing does that better than livestreamed video. We humans are wired to connect with those we see and hear more than those we just read. And a Live can remain on your page or website forever, as a permanent provider of trust.
But if you’ve been putting off getting started, or you’re just shy, or for whatever reason you need a kick in the rear to get started, I can help. I can make it a little micro-step so it doesn’t seem like such a big deal.
I’m re-introducing here on Substack something I did way back in the horse-and buggy days of TikTok and Instagram reels: Featured Fives. Five minutes where you talk about what’s important to you. What your ideal audience needs to hear. (I often allow for more time in case we go long, but 5 minutes is usually enough to show your potential tribe who you are. I’m busy and you’re busy, so we aim for 5 minutes).
Five minutes is longer than a Youtube Short or Instagram reel, enough to give viewers a taste of who you are without the prep that is required for an in-depth interview. Usually you don’t need to prep at all.
And for those of you who are too shy to even initiate talking about yourself, I can just interview you.
We can wing it and see what happens. If you don’t like the results we just won’t post it.
If you’d rather not show your face, that’s OK too. We can do a Faceless Featured Five. You would just share your screen and show us whatever you think best represents whatever message you have.
Even if you’re someone who is a Livestream pro, but there’s ONE THING you’ve been reticent about doing on camera, like filming underwater, or while skydiving, or while showing that embarrassing tattoo you got on Spring Break last year, you’re welcome to do this also. You can see it as 5 minutes to show a different side of you
Our Live MIGHT gain some traction, or go viral. If so, and if you agree, I’ll publicize it in a press release. My releases get picked up everywhere, from Saratoga to Shanghai to Sydney.
You have everything to gain, and nothing to lose. So let’s go. DM me.
