I had a small win on Substack a few weeks ago, nothing dramatic, just a milestone that mattered to me. A friend who has been quietly championing me this whole journey showed up with coffee in real life to celebrate it, no reason needed, just because she actually cared. That kind of thing still surprises me every time it happens here. There is something about this particular corner of the internet that still feels like people showing up for people. Long may it continue, indeed. 🤍

John, this is lovely. I have witnessed this too — Substack becoming a place of real emotional support in a world where so much connection has become less face-to-face.

What moved me most is that no one was trying to fix, advise, or intrude. They were simply bearing witness with kindness.

I have seen so much tenderness in this space. Long may that continue.
